This process is based on a wax melting principle. Moulds made of wax are manufactured and then augmented using what is known as zircon sand. In the next step, the entire package is heated and the wax melts away, while the casting hardens and the mould cavity is ready.
There are two different types of wax, classified as low-temperature and medium-temperature. The medium-temperature variant provides better tolerances and surface finish.
Benefits of precision casting
Fine surface finish, tight tolerances and inexpensive tools are the major benefits of precision casting.
